Ingredients: 1 Package(s) dry yeast 2 Tablespoon(s) warm water 2 Cup(s) Buttermilk 3 Tablespoon(s) sugar 1 Teaspoon(s) salt 1 Teaspoon(s) soda 5 Cup(s) all purpose flour 1 Tablespoon(s) baking powder -1 Cup(s) shortening |
Directions:
Dissolve yeast in water
Mix yeast mixture with buttermilk, sugar and salt.
Mix flour, baking powder and soda together.
Cut in shortening.
Add: milk/yeast mixture.
Mix lightly. Do not knead.
Refrigerate overnight. Pinch off mount needed.
Knead, roll, cut and bake. Do not allow to rise.
Bake 450 degrees for 10 minutes.
Keeps 4 to 5 days in refrigerator. |
