Ingredients: 3 Tablespoon(s) Butter 3 Tablespoon(s) All Purpose Flour 2 Can(s) Chicken or Veggie Broth [14 1/2 oz each] 2 Cup(s) Chopped Broccoli 3/4 Cup(s) Chopped Carrots 1/2 Cup(s) Chopped Celery 1 Chopped Small Onion 1/2 Teaspoon(s) Salt 1/4 Teaspoon(s) Garlic powder 1/4 Teaspoon(s) Dried Thyme 1 Egg Yolk 1 Cup(s) Whipping Cream 1 1/2 Cup(s) Shredded Swiss [6 oz] |
Directions:
1. Melt Butter in a large pot over low heat, add flour. Cook and stir till thick and bubbly. Remove from heat.
2. Gradually blend in broth.
3. Return to heat. Stir till mixture comes to a boil.
4. Add next 7 ingredients. Reduce Heat and simmer 20 min
5. In a small bowl beat the cream and egg together. Temper mixture with hot broth.
6. Stir into the soup base.
7. Simmer 15 minutes.
8. Stir in cheese. |
